Still Moments

Still Moments

Pause for a second—let this be;
Just a moment; do not flee.
A spark in a glance,
I shan’t lose this chance
Of capturing marvelous beauty.
Like treasure so precious,
So cherished and shan’t lose;
Engrave it in my memory
That I may carry fondly
This moment you are with me.

Lose you I can’t
And lose you I shan’t,
But time continues still
On and on against my will,
Oblivious to man’s wishes.
With each moment gone fleeting
Your image is fading,
Yet forget you I will never
And this soul I wish you’d remember.
This one wish—please do grant.
